1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the services of Clínica Dental Integral Cozumel ("the Clinic," "we," "us," or "our"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Clínica Dental Integral Cozumel provides comprehensive dental services including but not limited to:

  • General dentistry and preventive care
  • Cosmetic dentistry (veneers, whitening, smile design)
  • Restorative dentistry (crowns, bridges, fillings)
  • Dental implants and oral surgery
  • Orthodontic treatments
  • Emergency dental care

3. Patient Responsibilities

As a patient, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete medical history and health information
  • Follow all pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions provided by our dental professionals
  • Attend all scheduled appointments or provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellations
  • Maintain good oral hygiene as directed by your dentist
  • Report any complications, discomfort, or concerns immediately
  • Make timely payments for services rendered according to agreed payment terms

4. Appointments and Cancellations

Scheduling: Appointments can be scheduled via phone, email, or WhatsApp. We recommend booking at least 2-4 weeks in advance for complex procedures.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the treatment cost.

Rescheduling: We will make every effort to accommodate rescheduling requests when possible.

5. Payment Terms

Payment Schedule:

  • 30% deposit required to secure appointment and begin treatment planning
  • 50% payment due before treatment begins
  • 20% final payment due upon completion of treatment

Accepted Payment Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), bank transfers, and cash (USD or MXN).

Currency: All prices are quoted in USD but payment can be made in MXN at the current exchange rate.

6. Treatment Plans and Changes

All treatment plans are subject to modification based on clinical findings during examination and treatment. Any significant changes to the treatment plan or associated costs will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding. The final cost may vary from initial estimates based on actual treatment requirements.

7. Informed Consent

Before any treatment, patients will receive detailed information about the procedure, expected outcomes, potential risks, alternative treatments, and associated costs. Written informed consent will be obtained before proceeding with any treatment. Patients have the right to refuse any recommended treatment.

8. Warranties and Guarantees

We stand behind our work with comprehensive warranties:

  • Dental Implants: Lifetime warranty on implant fixture
  • Porcelain Crowns/Bridges: 10-15 year warranty
  • Porcelain Veneers: 15 year warranty
  • Composite Fillings: 5 year warranty

Warranties are void if patients fail to maintain recommended oral hygiene, skip follow-up appointments, or experience trauma. See our Warranty Policy page for complete details.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Clinic provides professional dental services in accordance with accepted standards of care in Mexico. While we strive for excellent outcomes, dental treatment carries inherent risks and results may vary by individual. The Clinic is not liable for outcomes resulting from patient non-compliance with post-treatment instructions, pre-existing conditions not disclosed by the patient, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

10. Medical Tourism Considerations

For international patients, please note:

  • Travel and accommodation arrangements are the patient's responsibility unless specifically included in a package
  • Patients should arrange travel insurance that covers medical procedures abroad
  • Post-treatment follow-up may be available remotely or through partner dentists in your home country
  • Mexican dental regulations and standards apply to all treatments
  • The Clinic is not responsible for travel delays, cancellations, or complications

11. Privacy and Confidentiality

Patient privacy is protected under Mexican federal privacy laws (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales). All medical records and personal information are kept strictly confidential. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Mexico and the State of Quintana Roo. Any disputes arising from these terms or the provision of services shall be resolved in the courts of Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

13. Changes to Terms

The Clinic reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes indicates acceptance of the modified terms.
