1. Treatment Warranties
Dental Implants
Warranty Period: Lifetime on implant fixture
Coverage: Implant failure, loosening, or fracture
Crown Warranty: 10 years on ceramic crown
Porcelain Veneers
Warranty Period: 15 years
Coverage: Chipping, fracture, or debonding under normal use
Crowns & Bridges
Warranty Period: 10-15 years (material dependent)
Coverage: Structural failure, fracture, or fit issues
Composite Fillings
Warranty Period: 5 years
Coverage: Filling failure or secondary decay at margins
Root Canal Treatment
Warranty Period: 5 years
Coverage: Treatment failure requiring retreatment
Teeth Whitening
Warranty Period: 2 years
Coverage: Touch-up treatment if staining recurs
2. Warranty Conditions
Our warranties are valid under the following conditions:
- Patient maintains recommended oral hygiene practices
- Patient attends all scheduled follow-up appointments
- No trauma or injury to treated area
- No use of teeth as tools (opening packages, biting nails, etc.)
- Nightguard is worn if prescribed (for bruxism patients)
- Regular professional cleanings every 6 months
- No smoking (for implants and periodontal treatments)
3. Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear from use
- Damage from accidents, trauma, or injury
- Failure to follow post-treatment care instructions
- Complications from undisclosed medical conditions
- Changes in bite or jaw alignment from other causes
- Bone loss from systemic diseases
- Modifications or repairs by other dentists without authorization
- Aesthetic preference changes (color, shape dissatisfaction)
4. Warranty Claims Process
To file a warranty claim:

- Provide photos and description of the issue
- Schedule an evaluation appointment (remote or in-person)
- Our dentist will assess if the issue is covered under warranty
- If approved, repair or replacement will be scheduled at no charge
- Travel costs for warranty work are patient's responsibility
5. Refund Policy
Deposits and Pre-Treatment Payments
Cancellation Before Treatment Begins:
- More than 14 days before appointment: 100% refund minus $50 administrative fee
- 7-14 days before appointment: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before appointment: No refund (deposit forfeited)
After Treatment Has Started
Once treatment has begun, refunds are evaluated case-by-case:
- Materials ordered and lab work completed are non-refundable
- Completed treatment phases are non-refundable
- Unsatisfactory results will be corrected at no charge rather than refunded
- Patient-initiated discontinuation of treatment forfeits remaining payments but no refund for completed work
Satisfaction Guarantee
We are committed to your satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with aesthetic results (color, shape, appearance), we will make adjustments at no additional charge within 30 days of final delivery. This does not constitute a refund but ensures you are happy with the final outcome.
6. International Patient Considerations
For patients traveling from abroad:
- Warranty work requires return to Cozumel unless arrangements made with partner dentist
- Travel and accommodation costs for warranty visits are patient's responsibility
- Remote consultations available to assess warranty claims
- Partner dentists in USA/Canada may perform warranty work with our authorization
- Emergency care costs will be reimbursed if covered under warranty
7. Documentation and Records
To maintain warranty coverage, patients must retain:
- Treatment receipts and invoices
- Warranty certificate (provided at treatment completion)
- Treatment records and radiographs
- Proof of recommended follow-up visits
